Nature Singing

When I sit in silence

no music, no noise.

I can hear nature singing. 

I honestly can.

As birds chirp 

the wind blows

I can feel my heart rate slow.

I take a deep breath.

The stillness of nature 

is something truly beautiful. 

Each organism simply lives 

as it has been created to.

I find it so hard to live simply

It sounds so peaceful.

Too much on my mind to comprehend

I can't take it all in

until I sit in silence.

When I rest in the presence of my Creator

I can feel His hand upon me.

As if the wind carries the words of His love

I feel my burden flee.

I know that everything works out 

for His glory and my good

It sounds so simple

but it's not easy to comprehend.

The one who tells the sun 

when to rise and when to set

calls me by name.

I hear it.

He calls me

to find comfort in Him.
