When I think about details in photography, macro shots come to mind. I love to take super close up pictures of flowers, decorations and other things that spark my interest and portray different textures and/ or colors. I've found that by taking pictures and taking time to notice minuscule details of things, such as an arrangement of decorations in a room, a table setting at a wedding, artwork or pictures displayed in a home and many more small attributes, one can begin to understand meaning, purpose and importance in the display (or room, or party) as a whole. I guess what I'm trying to say is that by starting with the smaller things, the larger picture will make more sense.
I thought that the water drops on the lemonade pitcher looked so neat in contrast with the vibrant colors of the flowers and grapefruit in the drink!
In our relationships with others we can be conscious of details as well. I'm not trying to be all "look at me", but one of the biggest compliments that I've ever received was when I was told that I was really observant and that I listen to other people and remember little things that they tell me. When someone tells you about their hobbies, their favorite dessert or what they want to do when they are older, make a point to remember these things so that you can make conversation with them later. By doing this, it shows that you care about what they have to tell you! Being observant is different than listening to what people say, it's noticing the details without having someone tell you what they are. Being "observant", I think, is a great way to define "noticing the details". Being observant will help you to see when others are in need of help or prayer, or just want to talk. Try being on the lookout for people's facial expressions, how talkative or un-talkative they seem, if they are sitting by themselves, or something just doesn't seem right. Then, be the friend that they need. Like I said before, being observant speaks volumes to those who notice the way you act!
I took this when it was below 0 degrees in Wisconsin, of the window frost with my iPhone!!
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much..." Luke 16:10
Not that this verse specifies about "the details", but I believe God wants us to be faithful in the little tasks He has set before us, so that we will have the strength to go about the bigger ones.
these pictures are gorgeous!
